Dr. Junaid
Hussain
Clinician. Founder. Coach. Thinker.
I'm a practising NHS GP and the founder of Health Collider, where my main focus is helping health tech companies access the NHS and the broader UK market. I work with founders on market entry, pivoting, and finding product-market fit in one of the most complex healthcare systems in the world.
A Clinician Who Thinks Like a Founder
People who know me know I have a relatively distinct skillset and a unique sense of self that allows me to work across domains quickly and robustly. Where others run out of options, give up, or find no hope, my strength is in thinking tangentially, creating new paths and bringing transformational vision to life.
"Where others give up or find no hope, my strength is in creating new paths and bringing transformational vision to life."
I've been a practising clinician for over 16 years, working across primary care, urgent care, and emergency medicine in the UK and the Middle East , including building primary care services in Saudi Arabia from the ground up. I hold the MRCGP and a Diploma in Geriatric Medicine, and I'm a qualified Clinical Safety Officer under DCB 0129 and DCB 0160.
I founded Health Collider to help health tech companies navigate the NHS. I also coach clinicians who are navigating career transitions, leadership challenges, or entrepreneurship. I speak publicly on ADHD and Autism, and I conduct private clinical work at Clear Psychiatry.
I'm lucky to have built a strong reputation in health innovation and transformation in the UK, built on deep principles , honesty, integrity, striving for excellence, and never giving up hope.
What I Do
I work across several interconnected domains. Each one informs the others , that's what makes the combination unusual.
NHS Clinician & GP
I practise as an NHS GP in primary care, urgent care, and ambulatory settings. With 16+ years of frontline clinical experience, I hold the MRCGP and a Diploma in Geriatric Medicine. I see patients every week , this isn't a past life, it's my present one.
Health Tech Founder
I founded Health Collider, and this is where most of my focus sits right now. I work with health tech companies to help them access the NHS and the broader UK market, find product-market fit, and pivot when the evidence demands it. I bring both clinical credibility and commercial thinking to every engagement.

I coach doctors and clinicians who are navigating career transitions, leadership roles, entrepreneurship, or burnout. Drawing on my own non-linear career , from frontline GP to founder to international health leader , I help clinicians find their own path.
Get in Touch →Clinical Safety Officer
I'm a qualified Clinical Safety Officer under DCB 0129 and DCB 0160. I appraise the clinical safety of digital health products and build the governance documentation that NHS buyers and regulators require. This is a rare combination of clinical credibility and technical rigour.
Get in Touch →Mental Health Advocate
I speak publicly on ADHD and Autism , as an educator, a clinician, and someone who understands these conditions from the inside. I conduct private clinical work at Clear Psychiatry, with a focus on reducing stigma and improving access to diagnosis and support.
Clear Psychiatry →Medical Educator
I have broad experience in medical education leadership. Previously, I served as Programme Director of the Saudi Board Family Medicine programme in Ha'il Province, where I led the programme and secured its accreditation. I have trained clinicians at universities in Ha'il, Manchester, and Aston.
Ventures & Projects
I am drawn to building businesses and solving complex problems that create real returns for multiple stakeholders simultaneously: for the companies I work with, for health providers across the NHS and private sector, and ultimately for patients. These are the organisations and projects that reflect that.
Health Collider
Health Collider is my primary focus. We work with health tech companies to help them access the NHS and the broader UK market. That means navigating procurement, finding product-market fit, supporting pivots when needed, and building the clinical and commercial credibility that NHS buyers actually require. We bring together a community of 800+ NHS clinicians and a team of practising doctors with deep intelligence on how the NHS buys.
Clear Psychiatry
A private mental health clinic where I practise clinically and contribute to business development and growth. My work focuses on ADHD and Autism, with a commitment to making high-quality psychiatric assessment accessible and stigma-free.
Saudi Board Family Medicine, Ha'il Province
Previously, I served as Programme Director of the Saudi Board Family Medicine training programme in Ha'il Province, where I led the programme and secured its accreditation. This was a significant achievement in a region with limited postgraduate medical education infrastructure, and one of the roles I am most proud of.
In Their Own Words
I work with brilliant companies and individuals in healthcare to help them achieve their objectives.
Dr. Junaid's advice was critical during the early stage development of our idea. He has experience with many early stage health tech companies and is aware of the common pitfalls they often fall into. His advice was essential for navigating our next steps as well as highlighting what principles we should follow later on. He reviewed and critiqued our idea including but not limited to financial and technical feasibility, go-to-market strategy and what evidence decision makers are looking for. In addition to his own expertise, he has put us in contact with other healthcare leaders.
I have never worked with a clinician as forward thinking, collaborative, warm and engaged as Junaid. Whilst Junaid brings the clinical insight which is so important to any digital innovation project being a success, there is so much more value he adds. He has long term orientated, strategic thinking, as well as the leadership and likeability factor. This was pivotal in influencing and engaging other UHUK members and driving forward the project. Without a doubt, I would jump at the chance to work with Junaid again and highly recommend him!
Occasionally someone different stands out from the crowd with a new approach. Badger has a history of developing and using new ways of improving patient services and Junaid has worked with us to better integrate our new EPR and VOIP systems.
Junaid tackles every complex, multidisciplinary problem we hand him with speed and skill. His deep insight into primary-care workflows means his solutions fit day-to-day practice. He meets challenges head-on, taps into an impressive network, and draws on his clinical and tech know-how to keep our initiatives moving smoothly. He always delivers timely insights and is a naturally fast and efficacious problem solver.
Junaid analysed our product and marketing and quickly provided actionable insights into product positioning within the NHS, potential obstacles from a clinician and commissioner perspective, and how messaging could be improved. I highly recommend engaging with Junaid , in particular, he is able to methodically break down complex systems into the essential parts and explain these clearly.
Thank you for the thoughtful and honest insights. Any health tech company will benefit from a chat with you to really understand how to deliver value in the NHS!
Junaid has a unique skillset combining a rich clinical understanding with an intricate knowledge of technology and how it can be effectively applied. His counsel is invaluable.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Dr Junaid in KSA and the UK. He has taken various senior roles and I sincerely haven't seen many of his caliber. He is a very knowledgeable physician, healthcare leader and human being. I strongly recommend him as a subject matter expert in healthcare.
For anyone reading this, Junaid has been our business consultant and mentor and has been working with us on a monthly basis, helping us prepare for our upcoming launch. His experience and insights have really helped steer us to where we are today.
Following our recent power hour I wanted to feedback that your insight not only strengthened our ambitions but has provided us with lots to think about in terms of what's next. We have already put into action some of the areas you highlighted for opportunity, specifically within outpatients, and we are confident that we should be in a position to have a few clinics on board within a couple of months.
Junaid has been of huge help to simply dissect my product and go through steps of the best way to take it forward. He has extensive experience with digital health products and its implementation in real life. Junaid suggested few tools to help me better identify key issues and ways to solve them.
